Players receive Season 8 rocket boosts and start Competitive Season 9 on September 24th. The new season also includes ranked sports modes: 3v3 Rumble, 3v3 Dropshot, 2v2 Hoops, and 3v3 Snow Day.

A second Hot Wheels DLC, Triple Threat, releases the same day and includes 3 new battle-cars.
