In the European Qualifier, Flipsid3 Tactics and Guess Who? acquired expenses paid trips to DreamHack Leipzig by winning the upper and lower brackets respectively. Surprising many, Veritas eliminated exceL, Fnatic, and Team Secret before taking a heart-breaking loss to Guess Who? in the lower finals.
In the North American Qualifier, NRG and The D00ds won trips to DreamHack Leipzig by winning the upper and lower brackets respectively. Unfortunately Ralph is unable to attend, so Allegiance's Allushin will fill in for Ralph in Leipzig.

The Hyper Cup will likely be the last warm-up tournament for European teams before they attend DreamHack Leipzig. The main event will include 8 invited teams and 8 teams who acquired spots through the Saturday qualifiers.
